Brother Error 41
Unplug your machine and call brother. (hahah) Thanks! I don't think i would buy or recommend brother to anyone again. If its just outside warranty then probably the same will apply. This is the second Brother that has done this just after a year old. his comment is here
Is it still under warranty because of ths error code? The 1800C went through ink cartridges like water. It is happening to machines that have only had original ink through the print head as well as non original product. The Brother had what I thought was good color and resolution until I made copies with my new Hp and compared them,,,Wow,what a difference...Error 41 has to stop for Brother to
Unplug the unit from the power source and then plug it backin. If the error message continues to be displayed on the LCD, please callBrother Customer Service at 1-800-284-4329 for assistance. Thank you for your continued interest in Brother products. Where can I get one? Or, you could always pay the $50 for the printhead, plus four inks, and labor.
I'm located in eastern Suffolk County, Long Island, NY if there is someplace local, or maybe you know of someplace selling them online? Randy W. - Anonymous ALOHA,My Brother MFC 5200 had the same error. another 3 months went by and got the machine error 41 again.. Everyone is allowed to make mistakes, as long as they do their best to fit them!Happy printing by WhistleBlower on Jul 16, 2005 at 1:46pm Add comment Please sign in to
All due to the research I did about the problem, and pointing it out to Brother in NZ, the service agent was advised to do the repairs "no charge" to me.Shame I think they are aware that the only reason you would get one of the boat anchors fixed is that you have a ten year supply of ink that you have by unknown on Sep 25, 2004 at 9:33pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Error 41 is the print head Is tricky to replace in the 890 - there by kdrose on May 27, 2005 at 6:03am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 thx for helping me kdrose, but my parent bought insurance for the printer, so repairmen
seemed like i caused it by pressing too many keys to fast or something. I was promised to receive another replacement. I personally avoid Staples as much as I can. by unknown on Jun 10, 2005 at 6:45pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 1 Yep!

NEVER BUY BROTHER >>>>EVER by unknown on Nov 5, 2004 at 12:36pm Add comment Please sign in to comment I bought a brand new Brother MFC-3420C less than 8 months ago. I called my supervisor who didn't hesitate to authorise me to take care of the repair costs.
As for my case, I will try to be political with them on Monday and ask them to repair it. http://hammerofcode.com/brother-error/brother-error-e50.php Bob [[emailprotected]] was very helpful also in providing installation instructions. The end result? Did some research online and found out that it is a very common problem and that Brother may have extended the standard warranty to cover the issue. I hate to see people being screwed over. weblink NOT BROTHER.
In most companies, the overseas headquarters (usually in Japan)have engineers that design stuff and make the fixes for the problems. Surely you can see the business sense in this?! You guessed it, error 41, unplug machine & call Brother.
I was transferred to four different people/departments and was told that Brother does not sell these parts to consumers and that I would need to contact my "local" service center, which
It may not be ethical but what Brother has done to us with error 41 we are equal. Brother has lost yet another customer. by Anonymous on Jan 12, 2005 at 8:06pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Extended Warranty on the Print Head for Machine Error 41 (ME41) issue.Models: Fax1800C, Fax1820C, Fax1920CN, we have tried unplugging several > times.
PRESS MENU/SET 4, THEN MONO FAX START TO PRINT OUT PRINT QUALITY CHECK SHEET & FOLLOW ON SCREEN INSTRUCTIONS. I hoped Big Bro. Make it difficult, make it painful, and maybe it will make it diffcult to them. check over here I say whatever is there any way to fix it yourself and order the part and is it even worth it to fix.
by unknown on Dec 2, 2004 at 12:22pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 My MFC-3820CN (8 mths old) just done an Error 41. I'm ready to throw away the printer, but just because I got the new ink I want to print atleast a couple of pages.. :)... I hope I have been of help and if you have any questions I'll do my best to try and answer them. One piece of info; the S/N is located under the output paper tray on the mfc5200c.
I have been doing the unplug, plug thing and am disappointed with not being able to print. What a pain! But, in Brother's case, I say -- "Stay away"! After the initial startup cleaning and priming cycle, there was no improvement.
Besides, this printer has other character or function(1) It can wake you up anytime if you forget to unplug it.(2) The documents printed by it are hard to be dry. I really like that machine and when it died I just hung on to it with hopes I might be able to have it repaired or repair it myself. I've one error which i can't delete.the error is 41 and the machine on the lcd explains: call the distribuitor. Not good for Brother.
Yes, I am going off the subject, but, the bottom line is, today's electronic products are pure crap. I purchased my MFC5100C on 2/9/03, according to my registration sheet, so I‘m SOL. LOL! - unknown 0 If you are showing error code 41 turn off Machine and leave off 4 six months go have sex then turn it on maybe it might blow I have several products still in service including an old MFC purchased in 1995.
I wonder how many customers they have screwed abroad.
