I taped both windows on the well/outlet side, then using a black marker, blackened the areas as well.

Comment by mark on March 4, 2008 @ 5:24 pmHere's another variation on the problem. Cover the entire opening with a cutout of the same cartridge's label -- make certain the entire hole is covered. OH,, if you go to Brother's FAQ's it says if you get "Low Ink" and it's stuck to contact a local rep for repair. I drilled a 3mm hole in the top of each cartridge, made sure that they were topped up using a syringe and refill kit and then pushed a length of 3mm

I've run the cleaning funciton about a hundred times. I lost an hour of my day on this mess, but at least I won. I just put new ink cartridges for yellow, cyan, and magenta, taped the thin protrusion for the light sensors, and ensured they clicked when I inserted them. I have put in a new cartridge and it does nothing.

Still unable to print. What exact error message do you get on the printer? I KEPT DICKING WITH THIS , TAPING THE CARTS / ETC.
