I don't see a wiper blade sticking up.
I used the in-store pickup option and had the new unit up and running that evening. If so the print head is probably cooked and needs to be replaced. Use a plastic dish and set the head in 1/2" of water and leave it. I can't even turn the machine off since it says it is still in use. grabbed a hunk of paper and I think I've got all the pieces but probably not. I got my computer to live once again, but the Canon MP780 shows not sign of life. I've tried many of the suggestions recommended on this forum, including cleaning the print head and other areas that I can reach and/or remove, and making sure the purge cleaning station

Use a small piece of paper to see it the lever will raise and lower or if it is stuck in the raise position.

Part of it is still there, and the front one is fully intact. I would like to know such that others can be helped.
