It has not been dropped nor gotten wet or gotten sand inside. There is an option on the menu to format a card, but you can't access the menu if you have the card installed. March 7, 2011 at 9:50 AM hx9v said... Could fix 3 possibly be the best solution?

If this problem is just happening after purchasing a brand new card, AND your camera is an older camera (about 2008 or older), I'm going to guess that you just bought SD and SDHC cards fit the same slots, but many cameras won't work with the SDHC (high capacity) cards. Press the FUNC/SET button. Regardless that CT said it did it already, just repeat the steps again.
