This one is the back of the camera with the case taken off. For those that have taken many previous photos with the card, but suddenly your camera or computer wishes to "format" the card, see the "corrupted card procedures" locatednear the bottom of Same problem…camera not used for about a year. It fell out quite easily which would suggest a location on the outside of the assembly, but after an hour of looking and trying to fit is somewhere I'm still unsuccessful.

My camera was working fine when i turned it off cuz i wasnt taking picsno more then when i turned it cak on it said "This card cannot be used" idk Reset' and select ‘On', then reformat the card (‘Format' then ‘OK'.) I had no idea there were these problems with the canon ixus, I've had mine 2 years (ixus 430) and had no problems with it. Fix #4, tootpick, worked for me. it is a 64GB. Of course it could be that the issue with your camera is not a firmware problem but something else in which case this fix may not work for you. It is a rechargeable battery and it can have a voltage 3.3V as a new one.
