After the PC restarts, reinstall WinDVD from the application recovery software; click Start, All Programs, PC Help and Tools (or similar), and then Application Recovery. Windows 7 with ATI Radeon 5400, AMD Catalyst software. The last time I used it was two evenings ago and it worked fine. The Microsoft ATI drivers work fine, but I am unable to change ‘scaling' settings until the real ATI drivers are installed.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but why would a Microsoft security update break the functionality of a certain MS app (Messenger) within another MS app (Media Center).
