If not, remove the batteries and continue to step 11 where you have full access to the ribbon cable connector. Do you know of anyone else with a similar camera that you may borrow their battery to try with your camera?

I really like the camera and havent had it long. What gives! A colleague at work dropped her new camera and the lens stuck in the out position. Based on something I saw on some web forum, I popped the battery in and out several times, after which it mystically returned to normal operations.
