I've never dropped the camera, the battery is fully charged, and i can't think of anything that could be wrong with it. Even more Canon E18 experiences, plus a good listing of E18 errors by Canon model: Nikon Coolpix L3 Lens Error - This site has a few other fixes not listed here AND IT WAS! news A repair shop had estimated £50 just to open it up (no guarantee of fixing it) and it was all looking hopeless...

I have a big problem hope you can help....I have a powershot SD1000 and have had it since christmas went on a trip to the beach and it was working fine Have to say I was a bit apprehensive about putting force on the lens - actually had to apply quite a bit more than "very gently" to get the required result There are other techniques listed from readers there that just might work for your situation. Ironically I was having a missing screw replaced (strap holder) when I must have accidentally turned on the camera inside my pocket.My problem was when turning on the lens, it would
