Once the lens is replaced, or parts are replaced it requires thousands of dollars in software and special image tools to get the lens back into calibration. I thought the camera was a goner after the store said it wasn't worth repairing and it was past the extended warranty on it. The photo below shows the screen error message (please excuse the finger marks - I was in a hurry) and the one below that the position the lens stopped in.Not panicking OMG #7 worked. The only difference between the issues of both cameras is that with the older camera, I DID accidentally bang it on something at the zoo while the lense was open.

LOL Canon is not only the priciest most expensive place to fix a camera but they do about the worst work I have seen. I fixed the initial problem and broke the camera for good all in one step.... LOL it works now..OH the photos on my website have been taken by my Nikon F4 (35mm Film) Cammera. No more canon for me.

It was amazing, I felt like some kind of genius and bragged to all my friends. I had already tried using new batteries, but it was the memory card the whole time.
