Nothing came out, but now I am able to put the new card inside. Would the card reader still help to retrieve the photos? After saving all your photos to your computer, look for that format feature in the camera's menus. amazing!

Camera's SD Card Lock/Unlock Switch Somehow, the locking switch is making contact and has become stuck in the locked position (a single grain of sand can jam it there). I had the "No Memory Card" error after viewing the photos in my laptop. Card Locked On Canon Camera Thank you!!! It keeps popping back up.
I used it just this morning and took pictures, and then transfer it to my computer.
I tried several of these suggestions but in my case, here was the fixed: the "memory card locked" error seems to be a *spurious* error message, that occurred because I pulled OMG!
